I know some people who are so proud and arrogant about their new totally green Prius and I'm like "yeah, not so much." But I don't say anything because I'd be stomping all over it.
These same people use soapnuts for their laundry. Throw the soapnuts into the wash and they have lots of some natural cleansing agent. Great for the environment. Super-Green! They said.
I said "but...soapnuts are from the Himalayas. So, not only do underpaid people have to pick these in droves and bring them to markets via what are probably highly non-green forms of transporation, but they are then loaded into containers and shipped to the USA where they are then trucked to your local store. How exactly is that green?" ...they just thought I was being a buzzkill.
Thank you!

So, ostrich mentality rules.
