The editors of this magazine feel that the web is full public domain. And that any writer who puts something on the web should feel grateful if someone picks it up and publishes it. And that the writer has a lot of nerve to expect compensation for copyrighted work.

I have no way to prove if this is true, but it seems true. And it's created a firestorm.
