Horrible dream last night, but kind of confusing. I'm not really getting what my brain was trying to work out.
Me and Mom were in the car and I was driving down Route 2. It was daytime. Shortly before Exit 12, it suddenly turned into nighttime and this was normal. And then, out of nowhere, there was a huge elk laying, already definitively deceased, in the road. I drove straight into it because there wasn't time to do anything else but. The car bucked and then flipped up and over the elk and we landed. Mom was thrown from the car and I was trapped inside it while the car tossed itself down the highway.
Someone else on the highway pulled over to help.
Mom was standing up, relatively unharmed, a scratch on her forehead. I was able to get out of my seatbelt and get out of the car. I kept trying to get Mom to sit because she might be injured and not know it. I kept seeing the horror of the elk's body, blood everywhere. Its rack was huge.
And then, in the post-accident confusing, I woke up.
Haven't seen any of these images lately on tv or in real life.
Oddness. Haven't unraveled it yet. I didn't have the sensation of being trapped. It was definitely a nightmre, though. Weird.
