Ah, that's a fine way to end a chapter in a cat's life. Mousing to the end. I'm sorry about her passing but glad that she remained a vigilant huntress to the end.
Regarding seeing her everywhere - I swore I saw my old black cat Minnie at my parents' house for years after she died. It was so strange. That doesn't happen anymore. I think that it is the mind expecting to see the creature that has been there for so long.
