Getting used to this land

This southern New England land is seeping its way back into my blood by working up magical days like this.

It looks like fall. The leaves are floating to the ground. The sky is overcast. The leaves are just starting to turn colors, too. This morning the sky was a beautiful blue and then the storm clouds built in. It was stunning.

But the temperature is in the upper 70s.

This way, Mother Nature slips me into loving fall without the shivering part. In a few years, I probably won't be dreading the loss of light anymore: I'll be ready.
